Classic Spicy Margarita

🌶 Spicy Margarita Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 45ml (1.5 oz) Tequila (blanco works great)
  • 30ml (1 oz) Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 20ml (0.75 oz) Fresh lime juice
  • 2–3 Slices of fresh jalapeño (adjust to your heat preference)
  • Optional: 5ml (1 tsp) Agave syrup (for a touch of sweetness)
  • Ice
  • Sassy Salts – Spicy Margarita Salt (for the rim)
  • Lime or jalapeño slice (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Rim the glass:
    Rub a lime wedge around the edge of your glass and dip into Sassy Salts – Spicy Margarita Salt.
  2. Muddle the heat:
    In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle the jalapeño slices to release their spicy oils.
  3. Mix it up:
    Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, (agave if using), and ice. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds.
  4. Serve it:
    Strain into your rimmed glass over fresh ice.
  5. Garnish:
    Top with a lime wheel or float a jalapeño slice on top for extra flair.
